Job Responsibilities:

Experience: 5-7 years

2- 3 years for Junior position

Tool and Die Fabrication Experience: Gauges or instruments, Jigs and fixtures, Metal cutting, forming or bending dies, Compound or progressive transfer dies, Forging dies, Extrusion dies

Pattern making Experience: Master patterns, Metal pattern making, Production pattern equipment

Specific Skills: Machine tools to close tolerances, Design tools, molds, jigs and fixtures, Verify dimensions of machine parts, Fabricate gauges, dies and molds, Machine, fit and assemble parts, Inspect and test final products, Set up machine tools, Program and set up numerically controlled machines

Additional Skills: Read blueprint, schemas and drawings, Instruct apprentices

Security and Safety: Basic security clearance, Criminal record check

Own Tools/Equipment: Tools, Steel-toed safety boots

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Handling heavy loads, Attention to detail, Hand-eye co-ordination

Qualifications

Required:

• Cutting tool technical applications knowledge;
• Minimum five years’ experience in manufacturing or related industry;
• Outside sales experience; and
• Excellent communication skills, self-motivated, personable, well organized, and works well by themselves and with other team members.

Preferred:

• Knowledge of cutting tool materials and coatings;
• Proficiency working with MS Office; and
• Proficiency working with QuickBooks.
